The office of Controller of Military Accounts (Pensions), Lahore was bifurcated and the pension work relating to Indian nationals was transferred to Allahabad.

1/27/1931Mahatma Gandhi was released from jail, ending eight months of imprisonment for his campaign of civil disobedience against British rule. To avoid demonstrations, Gandhi was released late in the evening from the Yerovda jail and put on a night train to Bombay. There was hope in British circles that the release of Gandhi would end the strife and lead to discussions of dominion status. Gandhi made clear, however, that he would persist in his civil disobedience campaign.

4/27/1960Presidential orders were issued on the report of the Committee of Parliament on official Languages which includes issues relating to preparation of terminology (Hindi glossaries, Hindia translation of codes and procedural literature, imparting training in Hindi to employees propagation of Hindi, language of bills, language to be used in the Supreme Court and High Court etc).
11/12/1930First 'Round Table Conference' started in London. Only Muslim League party was present in the conference and there were no representative of Congress. 16 Indian Kings, 23 British representatives and other 56 Indians took part in this conference. The Muslim League consisted of Sir Agha Khan, Mohammed Ali Jauhar, Quaid-e-Azam, Sir Mohammed Shafi, Fazl-ul-Haq, Chaudhary Zafarullah and Ghulam Hussain.
