Historical Event on 2/16/1944

Dadasaheb Phalke passed away in Nasik at the age of 74. He is remembered as the 'Father of Indian Cinema'. He produced India's first feature Film, 'Raja Harishchandra'. He was Director, Producer, Writer, Editor & Laboratorian. Dada Saheb Phalke Award issued by Government of India is given in his memory.

12/30/1906The All India Muslim League was founded in Dacca by a group of big landlords which included Aga Khan III, The Nawab of Dacca and Nawab Mohsin-ul-Mulk-Salimullah. They supported the Partition of Bengal and called for seperate Muslim electrorates and other safeguard for Muslims.
